BEFORE CLASS

Remove jewellery

Remove all jewellery and watches before training, including rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and piercings.

Keep your training gear fresh

Clean gear, every session

Wear freshly washed training clothes. Wash your gi, belt, rash guard and shorts after each session.

Nails short, hair tied back

Keep fingernails and toenails short and smooth. Tie back long hair before class.

Shoes off on the mats

Wear shoes or slides off the mats, especially in the bathroom. Remove them before stepping back onto the mats.

Look after your training partners

Stay home when you are unwell. If you have a suspected contagious skin condition, speak with your coach and seek appropriate advice before returning to contact training.
